Choice

Maybe destiny and fate is like the ace of spades
It’s powerful in its own right, but never too extreme
It pushes boundaries, daring realists and dreamers to believe…
That everything may or may not be as it seems
Then fate creeps in and brings back doubt
All the joy summoned deserves a shout
But lips are sealed always with a secret
Yes, it is real, but that is a choice they can’t help someone make
Chose to win before you lose
All is not fair in love and war,
but everyone can play the game of life
Just make sure to play it right

  1. Wow! This is beautiful! I love the simile. Especially because I love card games… It’s such an interesting thing to compare life to something as simple as a game. I also enjoyed the personification of fate on line 5.
